7. Where can the heroic motivation be most effectively redeemed?
Be the PCs first:

Place: The Great Ficus of Deliciousness, Northern Wilds, minutes later
With Guglio in the lead, the heroes push their way through the forest toward the Great Ficus, readying themselves to face more harpies and, hopefully, to discover the source of the mutating infection. [Man, I could have used a Druid here, but Next doesn't have one, yet!]
Be the GM next:
Story Cube: mushroom
Upon reaching the venerable tree, the heroes are struck by an obscene sight: two harpies are perched high in the Great Ficus's limbs, and, at the base of the tree, there are many, many putrid piles of harpy dung! Mutated fire beetles are eating the mutated figs that have fallen from the fungus-covered, sickened branches of the Great Ficus. The harpies screech angrily at the heroes, admonishing them for killing the other member of their trio. The bird-women had been perched on the tree for many weeks using the dung-poisoning of the Great Ficus as inspiration for the creation of the most seductive love song of all time, one no victim would be able to resist! Now, they'll need to audition a new member for their trio - a dreadful inconvenience as it is so hard to find non-divas among the monstrous harpy race. While the harpies whine about their musical predicament, the fire beetles attack!
Be the PCs once more:
The heroes waste no time with the beetles and exterminate each one!
8. Where does the final showdown between the heroes and the enemy take place in relation to the results of Question 7?
Be the GM first:
Story Cube: cauldron
Encounter: enemy nears completion of its goals, enemy takes aggressive action against the heroes
Place: The Great Ficus of Deliciousness, Northern Wilds, same time
To prove the potency of their almost-finished new love song of ultimate charm, the harpies combine their voices into a duet of blasphemous romantic harmony!

Be the PCs next:
Orsini defies the harpies aloud by proclaiming that he no longer believes in love! [Don't remember why? Go HERE.] He begins to climb the tree to reach the harpies! The creatures keep singing at him [and to make this an "ultimate" song, they are able to use it repeatedly on the same target, even after the target has previously saved]. Orsini is never affected by the melody! [He made every save, I swear!] Guglio and Don Pantaloni shoot arrows at the harpies, but the creatures are partially covered by branches. Orsini [makes all of his climb checks and] finally lands on the branch with the harpies! He slays the first, and, as the second tries to escape, he takes the opportunity [attack] to finish her off!
Be the GM once more:
As the harpy breathes her last, she tells Orsini that he must have less heart than even a fiend to resist her ultimate song. With a raspy, weak cackle, she collapses and plummets 50 feet down into her own dung.
9. Where does the world stand after the results of Questions 7 and 8?
Be the GM first:
Story Cube: airplane
The earlier accusation of the phanaton warriors now makes sense. The forces of chaos and evil that live in the Northern Wilds are clearly traveling south, drawn to the city of Avanti and the promise of more human and humanoid victims. The harpies are proof of that.
Be the PCs next:
• Harpy feathers are brought to the priests of The Protector to create a healing ceremony to save Liliana.
• Avanti needs an outpost against migrating monsters, and Stefano's tiny tower might just be the answer - that is, if the weird magic that was released inside when Stefano de-magicked himself can be controlled. Guglio, who hopes that within he will find more information about the bust of the Dwarven Moon Goddess, will push for this quest.
• Is Orsini so far gone? Will he ever be able to love again? Even an evil harpy didn't think so...
• Lots of XP this session - Orsini, Guglio, Ysabel, and Don Pantaloni are now Level 2!
