In my last post, I proposed a potential quick-play solo RPG system consisting of 9 questions based on the Three-Act Model. Before trying it out, I first need a setting, some heroes, and a shared heroic motivation. Here goes:
The setting is the Advanced Fighting Fantasy world of Titan, specifically the continent called "The Old World," a magical, medieval European analog, more or less.
The heroes are the noble young sorcerer William, Lord Dremmers from Gallantaria and War-Sister Trinette Aleron, a warrior-priestess from Ruddlestone.
Their shared heroic motivation involves the warmongering nation of Brice which lies exactly between Gallantaria and Ruddlestone. Trinette was sent by the Priest-King of Ruddlestone to be a liaison to Gallantaria, maintaining a line of communication open to her fellow warrior-priests stationed at Demonkeep Outpost on the border of Brice. The regents of Gallantaria entrusted her to young Lord Dremmers as his guest in Dremmershire. However, William and Trinette realized very quickly that attending Gallantarian council meetings and filing reports via messenger bird were far too mundane for their tastes, so they took to adventuring along the borderlands between Gallantaria and Brice, investigating for themselves anything that might upset the fragile peace among the three nations.
And that's the set-up. I think it should do just fine...
