Ricardo does not blog enough! So, this is a nomination to guilt him into action. With great minis battle reports that show how solo play is all about ingenuity, imagination, and invention, his work - especially with paper minis - really speaks to me.

For Honour's Sake
From Chasseur comes one of the friendliest and most useful historical gaming sites a solo gamer could ever want. There's so much DIY reference, you'll find something helpful to get your games in gear - markers, maps, reviews, etc.

iheartprintandplay
Derek's blog may seem an odd choice, but by no means is it to me. So many blogs feature rules creation, but Derek is one of the only ones offering original paper minis creations as free downloads. The rest of us need guys like Derek! Artists can be important allies in the gaming arena, and I hope Derek gets more support. (You'll see what I've been playing with his Christmas paper minis in a couple of posts from now.)

Shaun's Wargaming with Miniatures
One post from Shaun is worth 100 posts from others. With exquisite detail that never comes off as pretentious, Shaun's tireless replays of solo ancient wargames kick the tires and test drive systems to find the best for his purposes - solo, small field, and with tiny charging elephants. He's like a cool professor, really!

Solipsist Gaming
Go to Pahoota's blog for the awesome homebrew solo game rules that he courageously develops before readers' eyes, but stay for the amazing scatchbuild spaceships and other vehicles that he makes that look nothing short of amazing! The blog inspires me and makes me jealous of his modeling skills at the same time.

I chose the above because I feel like they need more attention, but there are other blogs that I love to read and I proudly recommend. They're on my blogroll - please check them out!
