Request for Solo Heroscape Rules

I recently received an e-mail request for solo rules to play Hasbro's recently discontinued but still very popular Heroscape game system.

From the requester:

There are some solo rules out there on the heroscapers website from a few years ago but they seem pretty complicated. I'm wondering if any of the wargamers who excel in solo play have some good rulesets or ideas.

So, I'm putting out the call!

Even if the ideas are only half-baked, maybe we can facilitate the development of something that can keep those who love a discontinued game playing for years to come!
