Solo option in new Star Trek board game!

Game designer Reiner Knizia (Blue Moon, Lost Cities, Medici) is the creative force behind the new Wizkids/NECA offering set in the semi-rebooted Star Trek universe - and now we know that there are solo possibilities in the game! According to today's "Alliance Alert" announcement on the Game Trade Magazine site:

Star Trek Expeditions takes 1-4 players on a cooperative mission in the roles of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Uhura as they respond to an invitation from the Nibian government to open discussions about the planet joining the United Federation of Planets. However, all is not as it seems.

How robust the re-play and solo values of the game will be remain to be seen, but we'll be keeping an eye on this one.
